Cousins, Cuteness, and Chaos!

We had a very special visit from the McQuitty's on Memorial Day!  Can you believe they drove all the way from the metroplex to see us and back home in one day... with a 2 year old and 3 month old?!? We were so happy to see them! It was very interesting around here with two 2 year olds a 3 month old, a 1 month old, one college student, and 4 sleep deprived parents!  Madie and Cooper had a blast playing together and the rest of us pretty much just ran around like crazy taking pictures, meeting demands, and taking care of babies! I'm pretty sure no two adults sat at the table at the same time during the entire lunch! HA!  But, we wouldn't have it any other way.  What fun times!

They figured out how to let the water out.  HA!
Precious Marlie!  She is the most easy going, sweet baby I have ever seen!

The race is on!  They were cracking us up because they were supposed to be running through the sprinklers.  Both of them would run asfar away from it as possible squealing and laughing the whole time.
Lunch!

Sweet cousins!
Uncle Case!  Case gets alot of credit for sticking around through all the chaos!

Thanks for coming to visit!  Can't wait to see you again soon!

1 Month Old

Our sweet is one month old ALREADY!  It is so hard to believe how fast time goes!
At one month old, Hadley mostly eats and sleeps, although she has started having longer awake periods the last couple of days.  We are just now outgrowing our newborn clothes!  She is such a tiny little angel.   She sleeps one 4-5 hour and one 3 hour stretch at night.  Not too bad!  In one short month, Hadley has already had her first playdate at the park (she slept the whole time), and her first road trip to Abilene.  She also had a short stay in the church nursery while mommy and daddy went to a baby dedication class (she did great!).  We love her so much already and couldn't imagine life without her!  We are having some tummy/ reflux issues and are headed to the pediatrician this week.  We are hoping she is alot happier once those are resolved.

Hadley's First Road Trip

This past week Chad had to head South for work for a few days so the kids and I headed to Abilene!  We decided this would be a great time to take Hadley on her first road trip (and go somewhere that Mommy could have some help!).  Both kids made the long trip without any problems!  Cooper loved watching his movies and Hadley slept the entire time!  We enjoyed getting to see everyone and show off our newest addition.

Hadley got the full Abilene experience including a trip to Cooper's favorite park, a little shopping,  and, of course, Chuck E. Cheese!
We also got to spend some time with MiMi and Grandad!  Cooper loved playing with the bull, horses, and cowboys.  He even introduced Hadley to the drum set. (She was not a fan.)
Hadley was content to sleep through it all!

Guys Night at the Rodeo

On Saturday, Chad and two of our friends took the boys to a little rodeo in Snook.  Cooper was SO excited he could hardly wait to get there.  They had a great time with just the guys!  While they were gone, Hadley and I went to a girl's night at my friend Lauren's house.  We had italian food to go, chatted, and watched Junk Gypsy!  My kind of night!
Here are some pics from the rodeo!

I was obviously not there or this picture would have never happened!

Sweet boys! Cooper, Will, Cooper, and Weston.  This picture makes me want to cry.  I know this will be one we will look back on someday when they are all grown up and wonder where the time went.

Brotherly Love

Cooper is such a good big brother, and he LOVES his little sister!  He is always wanting to see, love, hug and kiss on her.  I love seeing the two of them together, and am so happy that Cooper already has so much love for his sister.  Here are a few things he says all the time that I don't want to forget!
*Every morning when he wakes up the first thing he says is, "How is Hadley?  Did she have a good night?"
*"Awww she's soooo cute.  Look at her little tiny feet, hands, etc."
* I am always calling her Little Miss and now he has started saying, "Hi, Miss!"
* Whenever she is crying, Cooper always has a solution.  He is always saying, "Mom, I think she needs her paci, Mama, Daddy, etc."
*He also loves to sing to her to try to make her stop crying.  It is so cute.
Cooper really is such a good helper. He is always going to get things for me.  When I change her diapers, he stands on his stool and plays peek-a-boo with her.  (She is not amused now, but I'm sure she will love this soon!)   So thankful for both of my sweet kids.  Can't wait to see how their relationship grows as they get older!

Hadley's First Bath

Hadley had her first real bath this week!  She really liked it except when she started to get cold.  I love how alert she is in this picture. She has started to make eye contact this week too!

Of course, big brother Cooper was there to help.  He likes to help put lotion on her!
All clean and ready for the day!

Mother's Day/ Birthday

What a fun week celebrating my birthday and Mother's Day.  I was completely spoiled by my two favorite guys!  On my birthday, I got to sleep in (hallelujah!!!) and was delivered my favorite breakfast and coffee.  I was also treated to a seafood lunch out, italian for dinner, new shoes, money for shopping (once the baby weight is gone), a delicious ice cream cake, and a fun day with these two angels!

Cooper told me "Happy Birthday!  It's your special day!"  at least 100 times.  Loved it!

For Mother's Day, I got some beautiful flowers!  Chad stayed home with Hadley while I got to take Cooper to the Aggie baseball game.  It was so much fun!  We cooked out and spent the evening at the park!  It was a perfect day with my sweet family.  I feel so blessed to spend my days being a mom to Cooper and Hadley!  There's no other way I would want my life to be!

Speedway Mother/Son Event

Yesterday evening Cooper and I went to the Mother/Son event at the Speedway.  We met some of our mom/son friends there and had a great time!  It was so nice to spend some quality time with my little man.  While alot of the activites were rained out, Cooper thought it was great!

Riding in a limousine around the race track!  Cooper thought it was so fun that we didn't have to wear seat belts!

Country Fair

This past weekend Chad and I took Cooper to our church's country fair.  My mom stayed behind to keep Hadley so Cooper could have some undivided attention.  He had a great time. His favorite part was the laser tag maze.  We really didn't think he would understand what to do, but we were WRONG.  He was one of two left standing.  It helped that the big kids couldn't see him over the sides of the maze. ;)

Can't believe this little doll is already a week old!  She is such a good baby and so snuggly!  We are loving every minute.

Hadley meets the Schwertners

4 Pretty girls!
This past weekend the Scott, Kristen (my sister), Meghan, and Kate came to meet Hadley.  Meghan and Kate were so good with her, as I knew they would be.  I'm sure Hadley will learn lots of girly things from them!  Thanks for coming to visit Schwertners. Can't wait to see you again soon!
