Who needs crawling when you have...

...Wood Floors!!!
Cooper has recently discovered a new mode of transportation. He likes to slide around backwards on his belly across our wood floors. Granted, he is going backwards and usually away from his point of interest, but he is quite proud of his new found independence.

Playdates

Baby Bookworms
I'm a little behind with these pictures from Baby Bookworms. We actually went a couple of weeks ago! Cooper really loved listening to the books about the color "red". He also got to play with some red toys! Cooper was really interested in the tunnel that the other kids were crawling through. I put him at one end and he really liked looking at me at the other end. I bet it won't be long before he will be scooting right through too!

Abbey's Playtown
This week we met our friends Rachel, Alyssa, and Katelyn and Lanetta and Jonathan at an indoor playground called Abbey's Playtown. It was so much fun. There were so many fun things to do for kids of all ages.
This is Cooper and my friend Lanetta. He really likes her. Guess she knows how to entertain little boys. She has three of her own! Cooper also met Rachel's sister, Alyssa, for the first time. I didn't get a picture, but boy was he infatuated with her! Everywhere we went he had to look around to find her! :) Hmmm...wonder if she's up for babysitting.

There were swings hanging from the ceiling!

Cooper and Katelyn had fun playing in this special area for babies. It has padding all around and toys just for the little guys.

Cooper really liked this playbench.

I had fun pushing Cooper around in this cute little car. Daddy was glad to hear we passed on the pink one and went to look for a more boy appropriate color!

Fast forward 16 years... whew, I'm not ready to think about that yet!

What a fun time at Abbey's! We can't wait to go back soon!

MiMi and Grandad

This weekend MiMi and Grandad came to visit! Cooper is quickly learning that they will do almost ANYTHING to make him happy! What a lucky boy!

On Saturday, we went to the mall for a little while. Cooper loved looking at the carousel with Grandad.

MiMi let Cooper get a massage. :)
Grandad also bought Cooper a new toy. He hasn't quite figured out what the hammer is for yet, but it sure does taste good!
MiMi and Grandad also stayed with Cooper while Chad and I went to a Valentine's dinner AND movie. That is a rare treat around here. We enjoyed it so much! Thanks MiMi and Grandad for a fun weekend!

Snow, Snow, and MORE Snow!

Last week, the Dallas area got over 12 inches of snow in one day! It was the most snow we have ever seen. We really enjoyed being at home with Cooper for a few days. Too bad he wasn't old enough to really enjoy it. We did take him out for a couple of minutes though!

Cooper and Daddy looking at the snow.

Cooper's first feel of snow!

The tree in our front yard that didn't survive.

The pond in our neighborhood.

Kids in our neighborhood sledding down the hill!

Cooper watching Daddy build a snowman. (It was never completed, so I don't have a picture! Haha!)

The fort Cooper and Daddy built to play in during the snow day.

Our favorite snowmen in the neighborhood! There were MANY to look at!

Happy Valentine's Day!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!

Fun With Kristen!

This week we were lucky to have Aunt Kristen come stay with us for a couple of days! We were so glad to have her all to ourselves! (That doesn't happen very often!) Cooper loved playing with her, especially because she looks a little bit like mommy! He really liked it when she played peek-a-boo from behind her laptop.

Kristen brought Cooper this really cute penguin. He was a little scared by it at first, but now he really likes it!
Cooper was fascinated with Kristen's fancy camera. So, most of the pictures we took look like this.

Here is the penguin in action!
Thanks for a fun visit Kristen! Can't wait until next time!
Uncle Kent was in town from Pennsylvania last weekend and also stopped by for a visit!

Birthday Party and MiMi!

What a fun and busy weekend!

On Saturday, we took Cooper to his first birthday party. His friend, Katelyn, is one year old! She had a super fun party. Unfortunately, Cooper was not in a social butterfly kind of mood. Here are some pictures from the party. Katelyn's mom did an AMAZING job decorating and planning. I think I'd better get started thinking about Cooper's first birthday celebration!
You can read more about Katelyn's party on her blog. Click here: Katelyn's Blog

Yesterday, we took Cooper to church. He did great in the nursery! YEA! They let him move up to the creepers class and he liked it much better. (He didn't want to be with those little babies anyway!)
When we got home, MiMi was here for a visit! Cooper was very happy to see her! She is always so much fun. He loves to play with her pretty fingernails and shiny jewelry!
She also brought him this cute football piggy bank and a new outfit. Cooper had a lot of fun with the tissue paper and Veggie Tales card!
Then, after MiMi left, Aunt Kristen came for a visit! More about that coming soon...

Welcome Home Ryan!

Yesterday, our church friend, Ryan, came home from his 6 month deployment. Cooper and I went to the airport to welcome him home! We are so glad he is back safe and sound.

Ryan's mom and wife, Rachel, waiting anxiously! Rachel is pregnant with Cooper's soon to be friend, Riley! We can't wait to meet their precious baby boy!

Ryan and Rachel

Ryan brought back this bear from Iraq for baby Riley. It has on a bracelet with Riley's name on it.

My friend, Haley, and Cooper (he loved looking at all the action in the airport)

Mesh Feeder

When Cooper was born we were given these mesh feeders.

I was very hesitant to use them because they seemed a little gross and messy. However, Cooper is chewing on EVERYTHING so I thought he might like them. So far we have tried putting frozen banana pieces and ice chips inside. He loved them both! He would not take this one out of his mouth until it was completely empty!

A Visit From Cassie and TEETH!!!

On Sunday, we were so excited that Aunt Cassie came over to visit! She is always so much fun, and is definitely one of Cooper's favorite people. We can't wait until sweet baby Madie is born so she can join us for these fun visits! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures. :( So these pictures of Cooper playing with the new toy Cassie brought him will have to do. (She always brings fun surprises like toys that make noise and light up!)

Here is Cooper knocking over the cars in true Cooper style.

Thanks Cassie!

**On a different note, Cooper has two teeth coming in! They are so cute, but very hard to see. He will barely let me look, so a picture is almost impossible. Hopefully I'll be able to get a picture soon!**
