Thanksgiving 2012!

This year, we went in to Abilene extra early for Thanksgiving.  Chad and I went to a wedding in Mexico, so we dropped the kids off with the grandparents for a few days.  Then, we flew back into Abilene and stayed the whole week!  We loved getting to have the extra time with our families.

Grandad was doing some work on an oil well, so we stopped on our way in to let Cooper take a look.  This was Hadley's first trip to an oil lease.  She stuck out like a sore thumb in all that pink. ;)

The kids loved getting to have the grandparents to themselves for awhile before all the holiday fun!

Hadley and Grandmommy enjoying some books!

MiMi joined us for a trip to the zoo!
Cooper loved this wagon.  He insisted on buckling himself in after every exhibit.  Every time he would say, "Safety first!"  Ha!  One can never be too cautious!

It sure was fun when all the cousins came to town!

Sweet Marlie!  She is seriously the most laid back, happy baby I have ever seen.

Aunt Cassie doing double duty.  She is a pro!

It just so happened that Cooper and Madie both brought super hero jammies.  Needless to say, there was a lot of rescuing going on!

Madie and Cooper playing football with the big boys.  Pretty sure the toddlers outlasted all the grown ups.

More cousins!!!

An attempt at a family picture

We have SO much to be thankful for and are so blessed.

7 months old!

Hadley is 7 months old!

At 7 months old, Hadley is ready to move!  She grabs for everything (see below) and rolls all over the place.  She can sit unsupported for short amounts of time, but will still nose dive or fall backwards every once in awhile.  She gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth.  She is really trying to crawl.  Won't be long I bet! She has gotten from a laying position to sitting a couple of times, but does not do it consistently.  Hadley loves to play with her toys and chew on everything.  If you look closely at the picture above, you can see two sweet little teeth on bottom.

Hadley has added carrots, acorn squash, peas, mango, green beans, and oatmeal to her menu in the last month.  She is now eating three meals a day! We have started working on using a sippy cup, but pretty much just chew on it most of the time.

Hadley can now sit in a high chair, shopping cart, and swing at the park!

She loves to play with her toys, but still likes to play with big brother the most!  I know I say this every month, but Hadley is just the sweetest little baby!  What a fun age!

Trick or Treat

We had the BEST Halloween this year!  We had our friends over for pizza before all the fun! The kids got to ride around in a trailer of hay and trick-or-treat all they wanted while the adults got to follow behind and visit.  The weather was perfect and our neighborhood was busy, crazy, and so much fun!  Cooper thought it was GREAT!  I so wish I had gotten a video of Cooper sprinting back to us after each house saying, "I got MORE candy!" Haha!

Jake the pirate ready for trick-or-treating!

This is what he said he would do if we saw Captain Hook! :)

We finally got a pic of this little pumpkin smiling.  Poor little thing couldn't even lean back because her tutu was too big.  HA!  Don't worry, she didn't suffer long before we took it off of her.

Enjoying some yummy pizza with friends!
Ready to go!  I think they all liked riding in the trailer as much as trick or treating.  We took them for a long ride at the end!

Check out this look of pure joy!  Cooper told me last night as he was laying down for bed, "Mom, trick or treating is hard work.  You have to say trick or treat and thank you ALOT!"  Sounds like a successful night to me!
