Weekend in Lake Jackson and a SLEEPOVER!!!

This weekend we went to Lake Jackson to visit the Schwertners and watch Meghan and Kate play basketball! We had such a fun time that Cooper wasn't ready to come home. After tears and begging from all three kids, it was decided that Cooper would get to stay for another night while mommy and daddy went home. (sniff, sniff) We are so happy that his 2nd ever sleepover was a success, and that he loves his cousins so much! In fact, he has been asking to go back every since. This mommy is having a very hard time with his new found independence!

On Friday, we got there in time to celebrate Meghan making the reading team at her school! Cooper was more than happy to join in the celebration with a trip to Cherry Berry for some ice cream!

Then we headed to watch a little of Mehan's basketball practice. Kate and Cooper also got to spend some time playing at the local park.

After eating Scott's famous pork fajitas, we made smores! Cooper loved the fire, but chose to eat his smores in sections. (marshmallows, then crackers, no chocolate) What a fun evening!

Roasting marshmallows!

Kate enjoying her smores

The next day we headed to the girl's basketball games. We were so impressed with their hard work! Great job girls!

Next, we headed over to the Lake Jackson Sea Center! Cooper loved seeing all the fish.

Fun at the touch tank

Checking out the big fish (Cooper asked if that's the one Jonah was in. HA!)

Sea creature crayon rubbings

Getting a little biology lesson... there was a racoon having babies on the island. Let's just say things didn't end well. :(

Meghan and Kate did such a great job taking care of Cooper during his sleepover. They even made this chart so that they remembered to take him to the potty! :) Thanks girls!

Thanks for a great weekend Schwertners!

A Jumpin' Good Weekend!

This weekend we had a fun visit from MiMi and Grandad. While they were here, Grandad surprised Cooper with a new mini trampoline!

He was very excited!

He really likes getting in and out of it!

Showing off his baseball skills

Somehow MiMi managed to avoid all the pictures this time. Maybe it was because she was stuck playing in the playroom with Cooper 99% of the weekend? HA! Thanks for coming MiMi and Grandad!

Hadley's Nursery..Sneak Peek

This week I have been working on a few projects from Hadley's nursery. Her bedding also arrived! Here is a sneak peek...

Hadley's bedding!

Hopefully it will look more like this soon! :)

Bow Holder

Feather Wreath

Fabric Covered Picture Mats

Just another frame

Now, if we can just find the perfect house to put all this in...

First Aggie Basketball Game

Last weekend, we took Cooper to his first Aggie basketball game. Despite the poor performance from the Aggies, we had a good time. The students were still on Christmas break, so we had our pick of seats. Cooper, of course, wanted to sit right behind the band! He was extremely disappointed that they didn't march during halftime. :) Apparently he wasn't very impressed by the Aggie dance team. We made it through the whole game!

Two and a half!!!

I absolutely cannnot believe that my little man is 2 1/2 years old!
At 2 1/2, Cooper loves to pretend! He has quite the imagination, and I love it! He also loves playing with his trains, blocks, and his pretend animal sets. He loves reading books, playing outside, and he still likes to cook.

He loves to dress up too!

Cooper has become quite the little singer lately. His favorite songs to sing include "Twinkle, Twinkle", "Jesus Loves Me", "ABC's", and the Wonder Pet song.

Cooper's favorite foods are bean burritos, spaghetti, strawberries, cheese cubes, yogurt, and of course ice cream!

He has become quite the talker. I laugh every day at the things he says. My very favorite phrases are, "Mama, I love you big, big much" and "I have a big problem!" He asks almost every day if Hadley is big enough to come out yet. He is very excited about having a baby sister to take care of.

What a sweet joy our little Cooper is! I am so thankful for my precious boy!
