6 Months Old

Can you believe Cooper is already 6 months old?

This is how I feel when I think about my baby boy getting so big. :(

But then I remember all the fun times we have ahead! :)

At 6 months, Cooper weighs 18lbs 9oz and is 26 inches long.

He has been enjoying some fruits and vegetables along with his rice cereal. So far he has eaten sweet potatoes (still his favorite), avocado, green beans, butternut squash, and pears.

Cooper can sit without support for a short period of time but still needs someone near just in case. He can roll from front to back and back to side. He loves to scream, but hasn't said any mama's or dada's yet. He is a very observant and busy little boy. He can smile and laugh out loud. He loves to chew on his fingers and blow bubbles with his mouth. He also loves to play with his toes. They have even made it to his mouth a few times. He loves to listen to music (Praise Baby is his favorite) and read books (especially touch and feel books). He puts everything in his mouth and is busy exploring everything around him.

We are so blessed to have such a sweet little boy. Happy 1/2 birthday Cooper!

Christmas at MiMi and Grandad's

Christmas at MiMi and Grandad's was super fun!

MiMi got Cooper this cute duck bathtub. It even quacks! I think Cooper could have played in there all day!

He also got to play with some foot rattles that used to be Uncle Case's!

This is Cooper taking after Daddy and Grandad. Looks like Cooper will be in charge of the remote pretty soon!

Cooper loved playing in MiMi and Grandad's jumperoo!

He loved this little prayer bear he got in his stocking!

Grandad zipped Cooper up in his coat and took him out to see the snow! Brrrrrr!
Thanks MiMi and Grandad for a great Christmas!

Christmas at Grandmommy and PaPa's

Christmas at Grandmommy and PaPa's was so much fun! There were so many people and activities!

Clark...I mean PaPa had the biggest real Christmas tree Cooper has ever seen. (He said he cut back this year, but I'm not so sure!) Cooper loved to sit with PaPa and feel the leaves and the ornaments.

Cooper's baseball stocking!

Cooper's cousins Meghan and Kate helped "babysit" and take care of Cooper. They read him stories and sang his favorite song "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!" In the picture below, they even helped him smile. :)

After all...they are professional models as you can see.

This was the snowman Meghan and Kate built. Cooper couldn't help yet, but he enjoyed looking at all the snow.

Grandmommy and PaPa gave Cooper his very own chair. As you can see, he REALLY likes it!

My Grandpa made this precious rocking horse for Cooper. Yes, he MADE it! It is such a special gift that we will treasure always.

Santa brought Cooper this barn. He really likes to open and close the gate. Maybe he will be crawling through it soon.

Grandmommy got out Uncle Kent's old Little People house. It was perfect for Cooper...

but this stuffed Rudolph was his favorite toy for some reason.

The annual picture with my brother and sister. We were even color coordinated this year!

Santa Pics

Wow, I have so many Christmas posts to catch up on! I'll try to post everyday for the remainder of the week. We had a very busy first Christmas with Cooper! We'll start with Santa pictures!
Cooper got to see Santa twice! The first visit was at the school I used to teach at. They were having a Santa pic fund raiser so I took Cooper for a trial run! He did great!

A few days later, we took Cooper to see Santa at the Galleria. We couldn't get a smile, but he was still very intrigued by the big bearded man!

Santa even let me get in one of the pictures!

Carriage Ride

Last night our neighborhood had Christmas light tour carriage rides! So we bundled up with Cooper and had a great time. They even had hot chocolate! Unfortunately, Cooper slept through the whole thing. Oh well, maybe next year!

Sweet Potatoes

This week Cooper had his first REAL food...sweet potatoes! As you can see, he loved them!

On a not so sweet note...Chad and I were called out of Sunday School this week because Cooper was crying in the nursery. He was crying so hard they were convinced he was sick or hurting. However, he was miraculously healed at the sight of Chad and me. In fact, he started laughing as soon as I picked him up. Hmmm... guess we should've known it would be a long road when the nurses brought him back to our hospital room on the night he was born because they couldn't calm him! Oh, I can only imagine what the first day of Kindergarten will bring!

Santa's Little Elf

Yesterday I dressed Cooper up in his Christmas outfits to take pictures for our Christmas card. (Better late than never right?) This one didn't make the cut, but it cracked me up. Doesn't he look thrilled??? This will probably be one of the last pictures you see of Cooper in his Bumbo chair. His legs are getting so chubby that he is starting to get stuck! :)

These are his new reindeer pajamas from MiMi! Look how well he is sitting up now!

Cooper is very fascinated with his feet these days...especially when they have reindeer on them! Thanks for the cute jammies MiMi!
