7 Months Old

Cooper is 7 months old today! What a big boy! Our photo sessions are definitely getting more interesting as the months go on. Here is a quick review of our session.

Are you ready for this?

Whoo Hoo!

I'm outta here!

Taking the sticker off. (He did this over and over and over...)

We did manage to get a few good ones though! :)

*Foods Cooper has eaten at 7 months:
rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, butternut & acorn squash, bananas, mango, pears, apples, & avocado (He loves them all!) He is also completely on formula now!
*Things Cooper likes at 7 months:
swinging, rolling over, playing with pretty much anything (blocks, stacking cups, stuffed animals, balls, listening to music, "wrestling" with daddy, & eating
*Things Cooper can do:
roll over front to back and back to front, sit unsupported, drink from a sippy cup, give kisses, wave bye bye (sometimes), sleep all night
Happy 7 months Cooper!

Ft.Worth Stock Show

Last weekend we took Cooper to the Ft. Worth Stock Show to see the animals. PaPa got to come with us, and we had so much fun. Cooper loved looking at everything. He was in the best mood.
On the way to the stock show! (The boots didn't make it out of the car.)
Ready to go!
Checking out the pigs. We thought Cooper was going to get whiplash trying to look at everything!
Looking at the rabbits.
...and the miniature donkey. He wasn't scared at all. He kept reaching out trying to touch all the animals. Daddy is telling Cooper all about the donkeys he will see when he gets to go to Crosscut.

Our family! Cooper was distracted by the neon signs and the old lady wearing alot of bling! :)

Looks like Cooper is going to like new trucks just as much as his daddy does. He was so happy to be sitting in the front seat. Too bad we can't let him ride up there when the car is moving!
Driving the tractor.
Heading home with his souvenir. He loves this little horse that makes noise. We listened to it the whole way home.
What a fun day!

Rollin, Rollin, Rollin...

Cooper has definitely perfected rolling over from front to back and back to front. He loves to roll around and follow this toy from Aunt Cassie and Uncle Mike.

Peas Please!

Cooper has really been enjoying eating his peas this week! On this particular day, he discovered that he could spit out his peas. However, he quickly discovered that if he spit them out he didn't get to eat them. So, thankfully his new trick didn't continue. He quickly ate the rest of his peas as normal. (but he did leave behind a big green mess in the kitchen!) Please keep in mind it is difficult to video tape and feed a six month old at the same time!

Wagon Ride

Today we finally got to take Cooper for a ride in the wagon Kristen and Scott got him for Christmas! He looked like such a big boy! He was squealing with delight at all the things he saw on our walk. What a fun day!

Swinging and Sliding

Today was such a beautiful day we just had to get outside. One of my teacher friends gave us this cute little swingset. It was perfect for today. Cooper really likes his swing and being outside.

The swing is a great place to do some serious thinking!
Daddy even helped him slide!

My New Motto and Shopping Cart Ride

During the last six months, it has been my goal to cherish every moment I have to spend with my sweet little man. It has been hard at times to put aside my obsessive need to constantly busy myself with tasks and focus on precious little moments with Cooper. I feel so lucky to spend each day with him. I want to be sure that when I look back on these times, my memories are of Cooper, and not my daily cleaning, laundry, etc. tasks. I recently saw this poem on someone's Facebook status. I'm quite sure it is not new, but it is new to me. It is perfect for my life right now!

Cleaning and scrubbing can wait til tomorrow,

for babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow.

So quiet down cobwebs and dust go to sleep.

I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep!

And since I can't bear to have a post without a picture of Cooper...

This was his first official "big boy" shopping cart ride. (We tried unsuccessfully once before!) He made it through most of the shopping trip a happy boy.

Playdate with Katelyn

On Tuesday, Katelyn came over to play. Can you believe she is almost 1 year old already? We had so much fun with her! Thanks for coming over Katelyn!

This picture cracks me up! Already playing hard to get.

Mystery Pictures

Somehow these pictures ended up on my camera while I was in the shower on Saturday. Hmmm.... MiMi and Grandad were here visiting and that sure does look like Grandad's arm in the picture.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GUESS WHAT??????

Cooper has been sleeping through the night for the past four nights! I'm talking 13 hours!!! He has also been taking long naps! Whoo hoo! This is major progress from waking every 4-5 hours and 20-30 minute naps. The solution? One bottle of formula a day. Who knew?

Brrrrrr!

Okay, so we didn't actually go out in the cold weather today. But, I was getting Cooper dressed and wanted to try his new puffer vest on him...then I remembered the hat that would match perfectly. So we had a winter weather photo session! He was so bundled up that he could barely move so all this lasted a total of about 5 minutes. But isn't he cute? :)

Thanks Aunt Kristen, Uncle Scott, Meghan, and Kate for this cute outfit!

Daddy Time

Chad took a couple of days off (which he RARELY does) at the end of last week. Cooper and I had so much fun spending time with him! Normally, Cooper won't let Chad put him down from the second he gets home from work until bedtime. So he really enjoyed his daddy time last week!
One morning Chad got up with Cooper so I could sleep in! (Yes, on his day off!) They went and got me breakfast and coffee! Isn't that sweet? This is the outfit Cooper was dressed in when I woke up.

Chad also kept Cooper so I could do some shopping. I am so thankful that Chad is willing to work so hard so I can stay home with Cooper. What a great husband and father!
