West Texas Weekend

This past weekend, we headed to Abilene to celebrate Chad's birthday. It was a whirlwind of fun! I forgot my camera, so I had to make do with my phone.

First up was a stop at Grandmommy and PaPa's house! Cooper loved playing with Uncle Kent's old farm animals and cowboys. PaPa was a pro at making all the sound effects. :)

Cooper and I met Grandmommy at her school for the Wylie peprally. Cooper loved the drums and the bulldog mascot.

We even got to visit Grandmommy's library. Cooper thought it was great. He had fun hunting for all the bulldogs she has in there.

And of course, no trip to Grandmommy and PaPa's is complete without a trip to the park and some ice cream.

Having fun with the water hose. Cooper had fun showing off his spitting abilities. Hmmm...wonder where he could have learned that???

Next, it was off to MiMi and Grandad's!

Cooper was soooo excited to discover the drumset upstairs! He bounced on the exercise ball while he was drumming. HA!

Lunch at Mr.Gatti's!

On Saturday morning, we headed downtown for the West Texas Fair and Rodeo Parade!
Cooper and MiMi had a front row seat!

Cooper got a pretty good view from here too!

Helping Daddy blow out his candles. Happy birthday to the best Daddy ever!

That night we headed to the fair. Cooper loved getting to ride a horse all by himself!

We also got to see this award winning cutie in the "Grandparent's Brag" contest. He won 4th place this year, but he's our "Best of Show" for sure!

Cooper was still too little for most of the rides, but he did get to drive the car and ride the train with MiMi.

On the way home, we stopped by Cross Cut for a picnic and a visit with the animals.

Cooper and Case riding Rooster. (Yes, Cooper did talk Grandad into letting him ride by himself too!)

Skipping rocks (and getting muddy) with the boys!

What a great weekend! Great to see everyone!
