Cooper Turns 6!

I can not believe my sweet boy is 6 years old!  At 6 years old, Cooper is an absolute joy.  He is so much fun to play, learn, talk and snuggle with.  He is still my scheduled, cautious, rule following boy, but he has learned to be brave, try new things, and step outside his comfort zone too!  He has a very determined and focused personality.  He is still typically pretty reserved at first, but warms up quickly.  He is SO excited to be in Kindergarten this year!  Right now, he LOVES Legos, Star Wars, Minecraft, animals, Bible stories, and baseball.  He also loves the Tampa Bay Rays (because he likes sting rays).
Two hands!
This year, Cooper wanted to decorate his own cake.  He spent a lot of time working on his masterpiece. :)

Birthday donuts with candles of course!

Opening presents from Mommy, Daddy, and Hadley.  His favorite was, of course, Legos.

MiMi and Grandad got him this cool scooter!

Most of the morning of Cooper's birthday we did exactly what he wanted... build Legos.  The grown ups rotated through helping him. Ha!

After lunch, Grandmommy, PaPa, Kent, Courtney, and Jackson came with more presents!

Next, it was party time! To be continued...

Father's Day Weekend in Port A

This year we spent a long weekend in Port A with MiMi and Grandad for Father's Day!  Cooper got to join Daddy and Grandad for some fishing adventures this time around!

While the guys were fishing, Hadley and I had some fun girl time with MiMi!  We went to the park, had salad and spaghetti for lunch, and of course stopped for ice cream!

We also got to have some fun beach time.  We even got to see the sweetest wedding proposal complete with fireworks!

                                                                      Fun in the sun!

Such a fun time!  Thanks for having us MiMi and Grandad!

Swimming Lessons 2015

Hadley took swimming lessons for the first time this year.  She was so brave and had absolutely no fear of the water.  By the end she was swimming like a little fish.  She also taught herself how to do a back flip underwater.  So glad she loves the water!

Cooper took one day of swimming lessons and his instructor thought he did so well there was really no reason to continue.  We also did one day of diving lessons!  We still have a little work to do in that department, but he is such a great swimmer!

Houston/Lake Jackson weekend

Last Friday we headed to Houston to go watch and Astros game.  None of us had ever been to Minute Maid park so it was a new adventure for all of us. We did have to scrounge around in our closets for orange clothes though!  HA!  I must admit I am a fan of the air conditioned baseball game! It was so nice!
Watching batting practice!

The guy next to us caught a home run ball and gave it to Cooper!  He was thrilled.  He has been to two professional baseball games and has two home run balls.  I would say that is a pretty good record!

Both kids had a great time.  We went 2 hours early for batting practice and stayed until the 8th inning.  Neither kid ever asked to leave.

We stayed in the hotel right across the street.  We made it back just in time to watch the after game fireworks from our hotel window.  It was a perfect night!
The next morning we headed to Lake Jackson for some summer fun with the Schwertners.  We spent the morning relaxing in the pool while Kate was at her dance class.

Then we packed up and headed to the beach.  The weather was beautiful and we all had so much fun!

We ended the day with an amazing seafood feast prepared by Scott!  It was delicious! Thanks so much for having us Schwertners.  Can't wait to come back soon!

Summer Fun!

Our summer so far has consisted of...
Aggie baseball
Working and playing at the land

A LOT of rain...and splashing in puddles of course!

Sunny days at the pool!
Snowcones
and trips to the children's museum

WE LOVE SUMMER!!!
