10 Months Old

Hadley is 10 months old!  At 10 months, Hadley is full of fun!  She is as busy as ever, and never seems to slow down.  This month she has really started to try communicating verbally.  She says "Uh Oh", "Dada", "Mama", and "Hi" regularly.  She can also say, "No" and "Bye bye" but doesn't very often. 

   Hadley can stand on her own but no walking yet.  She has been working on her climbing skills, and loves to climb onto the dishwasher, treadmill, and on the bottom shelf of my dining room buffet table.  She has also discovered the joy of opening (and emptying) just about every cabinet and drawer in our house.  Cabinet locks are being added daily.  :)  Hadley LOVES to dance.  When she hears music, she stops whatever she is doing to give a little dance. It is precious!  She knows the hand motions for pat-a-cake, peek-a-boo, and "So Big!".  She is growing so fast!

  Hadley is almost completely on finger foods.  I try to slip a little baby food in every now and then, but she much prefers to feed herself.   She still has 4 teeth.

 





 

She loves to play in the water table. I have a feeling we are going to have alot of water fun this summer!

Valentine's Day

We had a fun Valentine's Day this year!  Chad and I enjoyed a fun kid free dinner out with friends! Cooper loved making Valentines for his friends at school (and receiving them too!). The kids also got a few special treats at home.  Cooper and I were able to enjoy a special mommy/son date night while Hadley and Daddy spent some quality time at home.

 

 

 

 

Ready for our date night!  He wanted to go to Casa Ole and then to get a candy apple.  He talked the entire night.  Loved our special time!

Flashback to Football Season

I know this is a little late, but I felt like I need to document our love for Aggie football this season!  Well, I mean, we always love Aggie football, but this year we actually won!  This football season was full of lots of tailgating and celebrating.  The kids and I watched most games from home, but we still got in on some of the Aggie action!

Our Sunday School class "Marooned Out" after the Alabama win.  Our pastor is a big Alabama fan, so we all marooned out on Sunday morning just to torment him.  :)

Ft. Worth Stock Show.... and a few random pics

 





While we were in DFW, we took some time to go to the Ft. Worth Stock Show.  Chad and I have gone every year since before the kids were born.  Unfortunately, we were there on the last day and most of the animals were already gone.

Little Miss loved watching all the animals.  She really loved the roosters until they "cock-a doodle-dooed".  Then that was the end of that! Ha!

 

 

There was a sheep herding competition going on.  Cooper was so interested.  I have to admit I found it pretty entertaining myself.

 Hadley's favorite place to play is in the bottom of our pantry.  She just laughs and laughs and thinks she is really rebellious.  Ha!

 

 

A couple of weeks ago, Chad and I went to the Cattle Baron's Ball!  It was such a neat event!  Can't wait to go back next year!

 

 

Happy 1st Birthday Marlie!


This weekend we headed to DFW to celebrate our sweet niece, Marlie's, first birthday! She had a sweet shop party, which was the perfect theme because she is just the sweetest little girl.

Everything was so precious and perfect.  Marlie is one lucky girl to have such great parents!

HAPPY 1 YEAR MARLIE! 

9 Months Old

Is it just me or are these month posts coming around a little too often. :)  Hadley Claire is 9 months old!  So hard to believe. 

 

 

At 9 months, Hadley is sitting, crawling, cruising, and can stand alone for several seconds at a time.  She is very inquisitive and independent.  She just crawls and explores ALL day long.  Hadley rarely cries, but boy can she scream.  She has this ear piercing squeal that she uses very often to express her needs.  She definitely gets her point across. (This is the main reason we have not been to many restaurants in awhile)  Ha!  Hadley can wave bye bye and occasionally says, "Bye Bye" too.  She LOVES pat a cake and peek a boo.  Hadley definitely loves being outside.  We have been enjoying this warm weather!  She cries when we go inside and stands at the back door trying to get out! :)

  Hadley has officially entered the world of finger foods.  This month we added cheese, yogurt, cheerios, and lots of fruits and veggies in the "finger food" version.  She is doing great with a sippy cup, and much prefers the kind with a straw.  We now have 2 bottom teeth and 2 teeth coming in on top!

This is how we know when her teeth are bothering her.  Ha

 


















At her 9 month well check, Hadley weighed 19lbs 5oz(70th percentile) and was 28 inches long (60th percentile).  She checked out perfect! Although the doctor did say we better watch out for her because she is a stinker.  Ha!  She kept trying to take his stethescope off his neck and fought the nurse pretty hard (but didn't shed a tear) when she pricked her finger.  She has grown alot more blonde hair.  It cracks me up sticking out all over the place and not a curl in sight.  Looks like she is going to keep those big blue eyes like her brother.


Hadley's first wagon ride!  Can you tell she LOVED it?  Cooper thought it was pretty great to have a buddy too!

 

 

 Can't believe we are getting close to a year old!  Cherishing every minute...

Franklin Safari Park

Last weekend we headed over to the big town of Franklin to visit the Safari Park!  It was a little cloudy and rainy so we were the only ones there for awhile.  The animals were very hungry, and mostly followed our car around in a stampede.  We had ALOT of laughs and a great family day!

This water buffalo was a little aggressive.  It stuck its head all the way in our car.  It was hilarious...from the passenger seat.
