Cousin Fun!

Last weekend we went to Lake Jackson to pick up Meghan and Kate to spend a few nights with us while Kristen and Scott had a little get away.  Cooper and Hadley loved getting to swim in their beautiful new pool!

On our way back to College Station, we took a little detour and visited the Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham.  We all had such a good time.  It was a very interesting tour, and ended with free ice cream!

Kate was so sweet to read all about how they make ice cream to Cooper.

Meghan put Hadley's hair in a side ponytail just like hers.  Hadley has wanted her hair like Meghan's ever since. :)

Enjoying our free Blue Bell!
The kids had such a fun time playing, watching movies, swimming, and spending time together!
Chad having a meeting about the day's activities.  It was decided that we would have some backyard water fun!

Slip 'n Slide!

Water balloon fight!
Sweet Cousins

Thanks for coming to stay with us Meghan and Kate! We loved having you here!

We also got to have cousin Jackson and aunt Courtney spend a couple of nights with us this month.  Jackson and Cooper are already becoming best buds!

Sweet Summertime!

We have been having so much fun already this summer!  I can't believe it is already getting close to the end of June! Time to play a little bit of catch up from the past few weeks!

Cooper finished up a great first soccer season!  He had a great coach and a fun little team.  We are very proud of the progress he made! He was SUPER excited about his trophy!

Both kids are taking a class at Powersports this summer.  Cooper is in the Superhero class and LOVES it.  It is a class full of boys and they practice flying through the air and "saving the world".  They even get to wear superhero capes.
Hadley is in the Tiny Stars class.  She loves every second of it and does a great job listening and following directions.  She grins from ear to ear every time!

This is how we watch cartoons in the morning.  One of my favorite parts of the day!
The library has been having some special days this summer. We have been trying to take advantage.  So far we have been to Animal Day and Big Rigs!

Cooper and one of his best buds also named Cooper!

Love this picture! Pure joy!

Hadley had her first visit to the dentist!  She was a champ.  They were really going to just brush her teeth, but she insisted on getting her teeth cleaned like Cooper! Such a big girl!

Cooper did great as always.  Such a good role model for his sister.
We have also been spending ALOT of time at the pool and just having some summer fun in the back yard.  Love this time of year!

Looks like they are ready for more adventures! Ha!

Boston!

Chad and I recently got the chance to take a little vacation to Boston!  We had a WONDERFUL few days and really loved this city!  It seemed like a small town right in the middle of a big city.
The outside of our hotel

View from our hotel room.  The harbor was so peaceful and beautiful!
We thought this market was so interesting.  They had all kinds of fresh seafood, vegetables, and fruit!

The food in Boston was amazing.  We ate lobster in some form or fashion for almost every meal.  One of our favorite restaurants on the water, The Barking Crab.
Yummy lobster roll!
They also had the most AMAZING pastries I have ever seen.  We made a couple of stops at Mike's Pastry and had the best Boston cream pie ever!
I also had to get a cupcake from Wicked Good cupcakes because I remembered them from Shark Tank!
Chad and I were both super excited to visit Fenway Park as well.  Even though it was raining, we loved getting to be there and watch the Red Sox.  We had great seats and even got to see a bench clearing brawl.  Pretty exciting!

We walked and walked and walked trying to see all that we could.  Everything was just beautiful and interesting.

This was one of our favorite finds.  It is called Quincy Market and housed all types of restaurants.  It was right in the middle of an outdoor mall. There was always something interesting going on here.

We also had to make a stop by Cheers!

I loved walking around Boston Common.  It was really neat to see the swan boats from the children's book "Make Way for Ducklings."

One morning we went on a Segway tour.  We were not fans of the helmets, but oh well.  It was a great way to see the city in a short amount of time, and Chad has always wanted to ride a Segway.  I am happy to report that neither of us crashed or fell. :)
The highlight of the trip for me was heading to Foxboro for the George Strait concert.  Chad got me these tickets for Christmas and I was SOOOO excited to go!  It did not disappoint! We got to see Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and King George.  It was glorious! And, we had AMAZING seats.  Best gift ever!!!!

While we were gone, Mom and Dad took care of the kids in College Station.  They successfully spoiled them rotten! I knew they had been spoiled when they both asked for cook to order breakfast the first morning we were home. The kids had a great time, and weren't ready for them to leave.  Thanks Mom and Dad! These were some of the pictures they sent us!
